Newly built home in seemingly new development carved into the woods. Pretty remote from everything (which is what we wanted), including shopping, but well positioned among the various national parks (Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon North Rim, Cedar Break). Large master bed/bath upstairs, one bed/bath on main floor and one bed/bath on lower level. Upper floor has extra loft space but no beds. Main floor has pull-out queen couch and lower floor has living room/foyer with futon. We were family of 7 staying 4 nights in august 2010. Fire pit in backyard. One complaint - no separate heating zone on lower floor which is much cooler than upper floors. Nearby Lake Navajo for boating/swimming. Hummingbird feeder on porch attracts steady stream of hummingbird visitors. Backyard could use more lighting for night fires by the pit. Nights in august can be cool because of the elevation so bring light jacket/sweaters. Roadwork on Route 89 heading to/from Zion and Grand Canyon causes considerable travel delays. Hopefully will be completed soon. The area had a blackout one night, which enabled us to gaze at a sky bursting with stars. We highly recommend this house for families with older children looking to escape the madding crowd by hiding amidst nature..
